ABOUT ME
I’ve been tattooing for over 26 years, which officially makes me part artist, part historian, and part caffeine-powered endurance athlete. Originally from Barnsley, I moved to Leeds more than two decades ago and have been ink-slinging here ever since – mostly on skin, occasionally on my own trousers.
My tattoo journey started when I co-founded Oddfellows with Tom Flanagan and Neil Dransfield – three lads, one dream, and not nearly enough common sense. A few years (and approximately 48,000 coffees) later, I teamed up with Ruth Jameson to open Mustapic and Jameson, which evolved into Easy Tiger when James Butler joined and things got properly out of hand.
Easy Tiger has been roaring away at Castleton Mill for over a decade now. We’ve built a studio full of incredible artists – James Butler, Barney Rushforth, and six more creative lunatics who make every day a mix of art, laughter, and mild panic about where the stencil machines gone.
Whether it’s a finely detailed piece, a bold statement tattoo, or something that makes your mum sigh deeply, my goal’s the same: create something you’ll love for life – and give you at least one story worth telling down the pub.

FAQ
Find clear answers to common questions about booking, pricing, aftercare, and what to expect during your visit.
Age requirement
18+ only (strictly enforced under UK law). Bring valid photo ID - we’ll check it before you fill out your consent form. No ID, no tattoo. No exceptions.
How should I prepare for my tattoo?
Show up on time (wild concept, we know). Eat something before you come - no one looks cool fainting. Wear comfortable clothes that let me access the area we’re tattooing. Come hydrated, rested, and not hungover - you’re getting art, not an exorcism. At the end, you’ll get a step-by-step aftercare guide to keep your new tattoo healing perfectly. Follow it like holy scripture.
Does it hurt?
Yes. But it’s the good kind of pain. Your brain releases endorphins, and suddenly you’re half in pain, half in love. So yeah, it hurts - It’s pain with personality.
How do I care for my new tattoo?
You’ll get a complete aftercare guide at the end of your session.
In short:
- Wash gently, like it’s a tiny, angry baby.
- Keep it clean and moisturised.
- Don’t pick, scratch, or soak it.
- No hot tubs, beaches, or weird experiments.
Treat it like a new pet - love it, protect it!
How long does a tattoo take to heal?
The surface heals in about 2–3 weeks, but it takes a few months for your skin to fully chill out and regenerate.
Be patient - healing’s part of the process.
Do you offer apprenticeships?
No. If you’re hunting for tattoo wisdom, try YouTube University and the School of Hard Knocks.
Do you do piercings?
No. I only stab people artistically.
